Who am I?
Sometimes I think one of my superpowers is being able to strike up a conversation with pretty much anyone. Probably comes from my customer service days. But here is a little (a lot?!) about me!
My name is Brendan, I am a (greater) Seattle, Washington creative with over 10 years experience working in corporate design settings and over 15 years experience in the photography and freelance world.
I am a Creative Studio Manager at Talking Rain Beverage Company, makers of Sparkling Ice! As a Creative Studio Manager my expertise are in taking the smallest idea and blasting it out into creative solutions across multiple touch points seamlessly, efficiently and most important; creatively.
Leading creative strategy and ideas, I pride myself on being able to see the full picture and envision ways we can take the smallest of ideas or direction and making something amazing out of it. I don’t think there is such thing as looking too far down the runway and exploring where we want to end up before we are even there yet.
I pride myself on not just executing great creative, but also improving processes, fostering collaboration, and developing others all while having an attention to detail and high standards.
& Co.
Sorry, didn’t mean to confuse you there. It’s me, only me over here.
I’m a one man show, but that doesn’t me I don’t have support. My family is my motivation, my support, my rock. My amazing wife and two crazy kiddos (3yr & 5yr) keep me going, keep me on track and make sure I don’t have too many projects going on at once.
They drive my inspiration, my ambitions and my goals. I want to make cool stuff, I want to make them proud, they are always a part of my persona and the important ‘& co’ half.
We also have two amazing doggos, they make sure to add an extra layer (and ingredient) to anything we are doing! They are often referred to as our first children, because dogs are part of the family too.
Not design,
but still creative.
The non-business side of me.
I’m a DIYer. It’s just in my nature that any idea, any random thing I want to try to figure it out first (and that melds into my professional side too, but thats not what this section is about. That’s up there!).
I love to work with my hands, doing projects around the house, taking care of our 120+ house plants (don’t get me started here) and just building cool stuff. I would rather figure out how to engineer or build something than to hire someone because half of the fun is learning a new skill.
Current obsession is building our backyard oasis.
